IT is considered as one of the attractive professions in terms of pay and work culture. But little is known about the fact of mental agony an IT employee goes through in his everyday life. On an average, an employee spends more than 12-13 hours per day in office or providing support from home. Spending a conventional 8 hour time in job might not satisfy never ending profit motive of top management. There are instances where the continuous pressure from management for more and more productivity ultimately leading to the harassment of employees from their immediate managers and company HR team. Even though many fancy policies are being made by companies for better work life balance of the employee, it is just not a solution to the hardships faced by IT employees.
ITEC being a welfare organization for all IT employees, have made consistent demands to the Government, Corporate companies and general public for their immediate attention for implementation of employee friendly labor laws in IT industry, as well as to ensure every employee his social rights.
ITEC extends deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Gulshan Chopra, a Genpact employee who had an unfortunate demise last Monday.
Kindly don’t hesitate to reach out ITEC during difficult times.
